Traditional African values have a lot to offer in an approach towards fighting HIV/AIDS. In this chapter Godfrey B. Tangwa argues that values such as empathy and unpaid assistance for those in genuine need will do more to curb the pandemic than the first world's market-driven, profit-oriented practices have done. He also outlines what he believes to be some encouraging research done in Africa towards an AIDS vaccine.

Taa Dom, this is a wonderful write up. I do not see why the search for an AIDS vaccine should wear a racist face.Had it been it was coming from a certain Brown or Smith, they will give a second thought to it.
I now see why some of our brothers and sisters come up with wonderful discoveries that end up with white people as authors.
In the case of Prof, Iam sure they will come back to him someday somehow? Wish he could be invited to present his findings during the next conference.
The writeup itself is great.
